Our policy for Twitter

The use of social media sites by Toowoomba Regional Council allows us to exchange information with our ratepayers, residents, d other members of the community and visitors. These sites are designed to be non-political and to deal with the everyday issues of local government.

Our social media sites will not be used for any political campaigning or commentary. We use social media sites to complement information already on our council website.

Council actively promotes the use of the Toowoomba Region Events register - a free resource for the sharing of local events.

If you wish to contact council in an urgent, detailed or private manner please call our customer service team on 131 TRC.

It may not be cool to 'like' or 'follow' council, but if you are a social media user and you like the mobile age of communication, we invite you to participate.
