Our region What's on Feature events

Council's Summer Tunes program runs each January and February. It provides free, live music at popular parks throughout Toowoomba City. It is a great way to relax with friends.

Musicians and bands typically perform at Queens Park, Picnic Point bandstand, Newtown Park State Rose Garden and Laurel Bank Park each Sunday.

Toowoomba's Mayoral Prayer Breakfast is an annual, non-denominational community fundraiser with all funds are distributed to regional charities. More than $205,000 has been donated to various organisations since 1993.

Regional businesses and groups donate goods, services and a venue to ensure costs are covered and money raised is directed to each year's chosen beneficiaries.

Toowoomba Regional Council is home to a number of significant annual events like the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, which has been held in September each year for over 60 years. The Carnival is held over 10 days, and has become more colourful each year. As the longest running event of its kind in Australia, the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is the supreme celebration of flowers, food, wine and all things spring!

Easterfest (formally the Australian Gospel Music Festival) is one of Australia's largest Christian Music Festivals. The event operates over Easter each year in Queens Park, Toowoomba. From gospel choirs to a children's concert and to the contrasts of rock music at 'The Shed', this festival draws people together for the common theme of fun, family and entertainment.

The Australian Camp Oven Festival is held every two years (in every even year) at Millmerran. The festival encourages us to get back to the campfire and cook delicious treats like damper and billy tea. A range of community events, entertainment and performances add to the weekend's festivities.
