Glenvale sewage pumping station & transfer main

Part of Glenvale is currently serviced by a temporary pump station at the corner of South and McDougall streets.  A new pump station and pressure main will be constructed to connect to the Glenvale trunk sewer in Glenvale Road at Hampton Street. 

The pump station site is at the south-west corner of the South and McDougall streets intersection. 

The pumps will have a substantial lift of approx 90m static head with a 2,300 metre long DN 450 mm pressure main. 

A 1000 metre long gravity sewer - DN 450 mm - from council's existing sewage pump station in Greenwattle Street north of South Street will be constructed as part of the project and the existing pump station decommissioned.

The pipelines follow the existing valley from the South and McDougall streets intersection to Hampton Street and then along Hampton Street to Glenvale Road.
