Submissions on the draft planning scheme

Toowoomba Regional Council reviewed all 713 submissions that were received during the draft planning scheme public consultation period from July-September 2011.

Council planners reviewed each submission individually to consider the issues raised and then made recommendations to deal with those issues. You can view those recommendations here.

Council made several changes to the planning scheme as a result of responding to issues raised in the submissions.

All submissions were reviewed and treated on a case-by-case basis. It did not matter how many submissions were received on a particular topic.

Council sent letters to all submitters notifying them about the outcome of their submission in November 2011. If you made a submission on the draft planning scheme and have not received a letter from council explaining the outcome, please contact council's Strategic Land Use branch on 131 872.
