Community safety

Safety is TRC's number one priority. Motorists are urged to please slow down and drive to conditions.

Where possible, works have been scheduled to minimise impacts on road users. Changed conditions may include:

• stabilisation and pavement overlays
• unfinished road surfaces and uneven pavements,
• loose gravel and stones,
• altered lane widths,
• unexpected work vehicles entering and leaving sites,
• rebuilding road slopes that have become unstable,
• repairing damaged culverts and bridges,
• altered lane merges and road configurations or
• altered road shoulders.

Patience and cooperation is appreciated while these works are underway. Traffic disruptions and delays will inevitably occur.

Motorists, truck and bus drivers and heavy machinery operators are urged to allow for delays when planning their trips.

It is crucial that all traffic signals and traffic controller directions are obeyed. It is important everyone arrives at their destination safely.
