Major projects City Centre Master Plan Vision What are the key projects of the City Centre Master Plan?
Specific development plans have been designed for the following projects to occur in the Toowoomba city centre:
- An outer circulating road (linking Russell Street and Chalk Drive) to provide a traffic route around the city centre
- A well-defined central civic heart
- Revitalised waterway and parkland networks
- New buildings with heritage value in new developments
- Designated green boulevards
- Margaret Street as a 'green spine' to provide a continuous green link from Queens Park to Laurel Bank Park
- Revitalised existing laneways to create visual interest and activity
