How was the City Centre Master Plan prepared?

The final documentation was prepared through an extensive series of community consultation sessions, the development of a traffic model and 3D-model, site analysis and an extensive literature review.

The community consultation sessions allowed council to gather ideas on what areas of the city centre residents felt needed changing or developing, as well as what kind of future development and enhancements they wanted to see.

Planning for the CBD took into account land use, built form, movement, open space, public realm and streetscapes, sustainability and key or catalytic sites and opportunities.
