Toowoomba Regional Council has authority under the Local Government Act to create and enforce local laws.
Over the Toowoomba Regional Council's transition period, local laws and permits are being established for the new region.
During this time the local laws of the pre-amalgamated councils still stand in the equivalent service centre districts.
