Cr Scotney was raised in Pittsworth and has served on all committees of the Pittsworth Shire Council since 1994. She has been chair of numerous community groups and is an active volunteer. Cr Scotney is a prominent breeder of boer goats and greyhounds, and a breeder and racer of thoroughbred horses.

Cr Williams has lived in the Cambooya shire for 30 years, spending the last eight years as a councillor in that area. He and his wife Jo-Anne have run the successful Mike Williams Country Clothing business for the past 20 years. He and his family also breed and train horses at their Hodgson Vale farm and compete in showjumping and polocrosse.

Cr McVeigh was born and raised on the Darling Downs and lives in Toowoomba with his wife Anita and six young children. He holds a Business Degree (from USQ) a MBA, and has an extensive career background in food, agribusiness and corporate management and marketing throughout Australia and Asia. Cr McVeigh has been a partner in a management advisory practice since 1994. He is involved in a range of school and community organisations, including the Condamine Alliance Natural Resource Management group, and enjoys family activities and classic Australian motor vehicles in his spare time.
