When purchasing a property you need to be aware that there may be defect notices or other outstanding requisitions against the property.

Council can provide a Building Records Search and/or Planning and Development certificates as part of any prospective purchase, to identify such requirements prior to settlement.

Please contact Development Compliance on 4688 6636 for more information.

If you sell your house or land, notice must be given to the Council within 30 days of the transaction. This is normally performed on your behalf by the solicitor handling your transfer.

Information on rating, ownership and property descriptions is available free of charge regarding your own or an adjoining property. A fee is charged for enquiries regarding other properties.
