This weekend is your last chance to participate in a Q150 Tombstone Tour of Drayton and Toowoomba Cemetery celebrating Queensland’s 150 years as a state.
Toowoomba’s Local History Library and the Toowoomba Historical Society are conducting the extra tour at 10am this Sunday, October 18.
Hosted by local historian Peter Cullen, the tour features prominent Toowoomba identities who contributed to the city’s development. Graves of mayors, politicians, business people and those who served in war will be visited.
Tickets cost $5 and should be purchased in advance from the Local History Library, 476 Ruthven Street open Tuesday to Saturday between 9.30am and 1pm or by phoning 4638 7766.
