As part of Family Week, Toowoomba City Library is hosting a free workshop for parents of young children aimed at improving early literacy development.

Presented by Dr Yvonne Winer, the ‘Story Telling – A pathway to literacy’ workshop will focus on the value of story telling in underpinning all future literacy learning.

Open to parents of children aged under eight, the workshop will be held from 6pm to 7.30pm on Tuesday, October 20.

Dr Winer will emphasise how we can all be story tellers by taking simple experiences from our own childhoods to create exciting stories for our children.
