At Milne Bay Aquatic and Fitness Centre, the aquatics area boasts five separate pools to cater for swimmers of any ability.

From learn-to-swim classes to relaxation, recreation or lap swimming, MBAC has the facilities to meet your needs.

The Milne Bay Aquatic Centre opened in September 2007 as Toowoomba’s premier aquatic centre.

Facilities include:

  • Outdoor heated 50m pool - Boasting an eight-lane, 50m pool heated to 27oC for lap swimming, this pool is available for use by serious, elite or casual/recreation swimmers.  It is a seasonal pool and closes each winter.
  • Indoor heated 25m wave pool - Utilised for lap swimming, swimming lessons, aqua aerobics and wave sessions on weekends and during school holidays, this versatile pool is for people of all ages and abilities. While the waves are operating, children under 10 years must be within arm’s reach of a guardian aged over 16. Water features are operated during peak times - weekends, public holidays and government school holidays.
  • Spa and sauna - Great to relax in after a swim or at the end of a busy day. Restricted to patrons over 16 years of age.
  • Program pool - This pool, heated to a beautiful 34oC, is used for swimming lessons, hydrotherapy and gentle exercise.  A detailed timetable is available to help you plan your use of this pool.
  • Indoor heated 25m tots pool - This is a great little pool for toddlers and children up to the age of five.
  • Waterslide - In between riding the waves, head up the slide for even more thrills as you accelerate through the tunnel of fun. It’s guaranteed to have you coming back for more!

MBAC’s qualified lifeguards manage and supervise the activities to ensure maximum safety and fun. However, children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 or over at all times during their stay in the aquatic area.
