Yarraman library was the first library established within the former Rosalie Shire, and it opened in March 1982. The library is located in part of the Post Office building in Toomey Street, the main street of Yarraman.

Library membership is free to all residents and ratepayers, and you can join simply by providing some form of identification (i.e. driver's license) and completing an enrolment application at any TRC library.

There's no minimum joining age for library membership either, but a parent or guardian must endorse the enrolment application of any child under the age of 16.

Facilities available at this branch include:

  • Internet: 2 internet terminals are available and are free to use. Printing costs are minimal. Booking is recommended
  • Wheelchair/Pram Access Ramp: Ramp access has been installed at the entrance of the library to provide wheelchair and pram access to both the library and post office facilities.
  • After Hours Returns: A chute is provided at the entrance of the library for the return of books, etc when the library is closed.
