The council's libraries are keen to encourage young people discovering the joy of reading and to develop their skills in information retrieval.
Regular activities for young people are held at most of our regional libraries throughout the year. Contact your local library for more details.

The First Draft Writer's Group is for 8 to 12 year olds who enjoy writing. We meet the first Tuesday of the month from 4pm to 5.15pm, with afternoon tea provided. The aim of First Draft is for young writers to meet and share and encourage each other. If you are interested, come along with Mum, Dad or your guardian on the first Tuesday of the month.
