Children's booksThe Toowoomba Regional Council manages 13 district libraries which residents of Queensland join and enjoy free-of-charge.

These libraries offer vibrant young people’s programmes, author visits,   Friends of Libraries activities and home deliveries to people who are unable to visit the library themselves. Many other services are available from various libraries such as internet access, computer  classes, special programmes, local history information and online databases.

Available to borrow are fiction and non-fiction books, large print books, audio books, music CDs, e-audio-books, DVDs, a Language other than English collection, learning another language material and magazines. Find out more by visiting any one of the region’s libraries including the mobile service.

 To become a Toowoomba Regional library member, all you will need is identification showing your Queensland residential address.

national year of readingYou know the library is a great place - why not spread the love? Bring in a friend to join the Toowoomba Library during May, and get a free book light to celebrate the National Year of Reading and Information Awareness Month.

Love to learn? Come to the "Where DO ideas come from?" workshops at the Toowoomba City Library.

Workshops will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 11:30-12:30pm and Wednesday May 30, 10:30-12:30pm.

This competition and exhibition was made possible with the collaborative efforts of the Toowoomba Art Gallery,Toowoomba Friends of the Library, and the Toowoomba Regional Library service.
