This is one of the oldest gardens in Toowoomba. It holds a range of locations for large groups. This garden has easy access with parking along Lindsay Street providing a short walk to each location.
The Fountain Area
This area has easy access to parking in Godsall Street, with a short walk to the secluded formal fountain. Nearby is a paved area with a circular sandstone raised garden bed. Sweeping lawns in the background are sheltered by large trees.
Note: The fountain is not operational due to the current High Level water restrictions.
Monument and Lawns
The monument and cannon are surrounded by striking floral displays (during September). Sweeping lawns bordered by hedges create privacy while huge red cedars provide shade. Heritage lamps surround the monument and are featured along walkways.
The Rose Garden
Walkways through rich lawns are bordered by roses which lead to a romantic rose garden. Graced by majestic trees, these areas provide welcome shade during the warmer months.
Woodland Area
Majestic bunya and hoop pine trees create a dappled lighting on firm ground - perfect for your walk down the aisle.
Parterre Garden
The Parterre Garden is a popular location for weddings, offering couples the chance to marry amidst brilliant floral displays which are surrounded by small and large hedges. This formal European garden style is further enhanced by a series of stoned walkways and a unique sculpture.
Note: Queens Park is not available for hire during the two weeks of the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers event.
