Confirmation of the booking will be provided in writing and forwarded to the postal address provided when booking.

 

Payment of the park booking fee is to be paid within the period stated in the letter, otherwise the booking may be cancelled. Cash, debit card, money order and cheques are accepted. No credit card facilities available. Payment can be made at any Toowoomba Regional Council Service Centre.

 

 The following conditions also apply.
  • Approval is for the wedding ceremony only and duration of two (2) hours is allowed. Any associated setting up and dismantling must be completed within this timeframe.
  • Car parking is to be confined to designated parking areas. Vehicles are not permitted inside the perimeter of the park or onto grassed areas without specific approval.
  • No confetti is to be used. Rose petals can be used.
  • When vacating the Council park area, you must remove all items you brought into the park (eg. tables, chairs).
  • No such fixtures are to be attached to trees and no nails or tacks are to be used on any vegetation or structures.
  • Only small domestic sound systems can be used. No power is available.
  • Minimum disruption is to be caused to public use of the area, as the area in question is a public park.
  • No picking of flowers or defacing the gardens in any way.
  • Maintenance is carried out in the parks on an as needs basis. This may necessitate the changing of park structure with little or no notice. All efforts will be made to minimise the effect to park wedding venues, however this may not always be the case. Parks and Recreation staff will contact you in the case of major work being carried out in the wedding venue park. 
  • Council maintains its parks and gardens on a routine maintenance program. Special mowing or additional services of this area cannot be guaranteed.
  • Council is also unable to control leaf/debris resulting from inclement weather conditions or other users in the park prior to your ceremony. 
  • Under the Liquor Act 1992 alcohol is prohibited in a public park. (inc. Council-controlled parkland and/or reserve).
  • Receptions and marquees are prohibited in a public-park. (inc. Council-controlled parkland and/or reserves).
  • The approval letter may be required to be sighted by an authorised Council officer during the event.
  • As the area is part of a public park, exclusive use cannot be guaranteed.
