The Gummingurru stone arrangement near Meringandan, 25km north-west of Toowoomba, is one of Australia's most important historical Aboriginal sites, estimated at around 4000 years old.

It was a men’s initiation site and also a site where different tribal groups met on their way to the Bunya Nut Festival.

Jondaryan Woolshed Historical Museum and Park is located 3kms south of the village of Jondaryan. The centrepiece of the historical site is the huge shearing shed completed in 1861, Australia's oldest woolshed still in working order.

This tourist attraction celebrates the role of the wool industry in Australia and has historic buildings, machinery, equipment and collections, which have been obtained and restored over since 1975. The venue is available for hire for functions and weddings.

Highfields Pioneer Village is a privately owned, non-profit facility run by volunteers. It is dedicated to preserving the history of the Darling Downs. Attractions feature agricultural machinery and equipment, more than 200 volunteers operate the village.

Visit the memorial of Sister Kenny, Clifton's local hero!

Sister Kenny received world recognition for her revolutionary treatment of polio victims in the early to mid 20th Century.

This memorial chronicles her life and gives an account of the battles she had with the medical establishment of the day.

She is buried in the peaceful Nobby Cemetery, overlooking the wide, rolling hills.
