Toowoomba Regional Council commemorates our deceased in beautiful, tranquil surroundings, offering cemetery services to all faiths.
Council operates 19 cemeteries in the region with 16 of these open for new denominational and non-denominational internments.
Cemeteries record our community's and nation's history – they may be the only place where a person's life is formally documented and are invaluable for tracing ancestry and family trees. Most of the Toowoomba region's cemeteries were established in the late 1800s, the earliest being the heritage listed Drayton and Toowoomba Cemetery operating since 1864.
Most religious denominations are catered for at the region's cemeteries and specific services vary according to each site, but include headstone sections, lawn areas, columbariums or rose garden for internment of ashes and a Cross of Sacrifice for defence force personnel. Contact us or visit our website for information about the options at your preferred location.
