Water Efficient Guidelines for mobile commercial washers
If you use town water and you are operating as a mobile commercial washer within the Toowoomba Regional Council area, you must:
Council's Water Efficiency Guidelines have been modified from guidelines devised by QWC in consultation with industry. These guidelines can be downloaded from the Related documents area below.
Mobile commercial operators are considered to be....
'any person or entity conducting a business which is primarily focused on delivering a mobile cleaning service' (as described by the guidelines above). Examples would include external cleaners, pet washers and mobile vehicle washing and detailing.
What are water efficient methods?
Water efficiency guidelines have been developed specifically to provide information on water usage, water efficient practices and water efficient equipment as they apply to the mobile cleaning industry.
What do I need to do to become trained and registered?
You will need to undertake a training course in efficient water use practices (run by your industry association) and register with Toowoomba Regional Council as a trained operator. You do not need to be a member of the association to receive training.
How can I demonstrate that I am trained and registered?
Following training and registration, mobile commercial operators are required to operate in accordance with the relevant water efficiency guidelines. It is intended that Toowoomba Regional Council will provide documentary evidence in order that a registered operator will:
