Toowoomba City Council is holding two water forums this Saturday, June 10.
“The forums are an opportunity for people who are as yet undecided about the Water Futures project a chance to get the facts and ask questions,” Mayor Dianne Thorley said.<p>
“Our focus has always been one of educating the community about water.”<p>
Each of the forums will begin with presentations from Director of Engineering Services Kevin Flanagan and Manager of Laboratory Services Alan Kleinschmidt.<p>
There will then be an opportunity for people to ask questions of the experts and speak to Councillors about their views.<p>
The morning forum will be held at Centenary Heights High School from 9.30am to 11am. An afternoon forum will be held at Harristown State High School from 2pm to 3.30pm.<p>
“These forums are for people who want to be informed,” Cr Thorley said. “They are about the provision of information and reasonable discussion.”<p>
Future forums will be held at Mt Lofty State High School and Wilsonton State Primary School next weekend.
