Support is welcomed

Toowoomba City Council welcomes the announcement today by Andy Burke, President of the Master Plumbers Association Toowoomba Division that Water Futures has the group’s support.

“It is very pleasing to hear about the support of Master Plumbers,” “It is very pleasing to hear about the support of Master Plumbers,” Mayor Dianne Thorley said. “They obviously know a lot about water and to have their open support will boost the public’s confidence in the project.”

“We would love to hear from other businesses who are supportive of water recycling and encourage them to make known their approval,” she said.

Toowoomba City Council now has an online supporters’ book, where individuals, businesses and organisations can leave their messages of support. The website to go to is www.toowoombawater.com.au where there is a link from the home page menu to the “supporters’ book”.

“It’s important for people to stand up and be counted on this most important issue of water,” Cr Thorley said.

“Master Plumbers are leading the way with their public announcement today and I for one am delighted.”
