Paper recycling bins, the yellow wheelie bins are located at:

• Cambooya (Cambooya Kindergarten)
• Hodgson Vale (Lions Park).
• Wyreema (Wyreema store and Wyreema State School)

These bins are provided for the community and are serviced by community groups. For further information contact council.

Engine oil recycling

Council has established an engine oil recycling facility at the refuse site at Faulkner Road Greenmount.

The facility was funded by the Queensland Government Product Stewardship for Oil program which seeks to recover and recycle oils currently used in Australia.

Used oils are a risk to the environment as they can be toxic and carcinogenic (cancer causing). Statistics show an increase in oil recycling with more than 450 oil collection sites now operating throughout Australia.

The Faulkner Road site has been designed for engine oil recovery only and an appointment must be made to dispose large quantities of engine oil (i.e. over 20 litres or 20 kg).
