Green waste bin - Toowoomba residents

Recycling green waste is a money saving, environmentally friendly way of dealing with your green resources (grass clippings, branches and leaves).

Kerbside Greenwaste service is available to all residents in the Toowoomba City Service Centre area, ie. the former Toowoomba City Council area.  Due to contract constraints, the kerbside greenwaste service is not available to residents in TRC's other service centres.  This may change in the future. 

 Toowoomba city residents have a green resource collection service. Bins for this service have lime green lids and are collected fortnightly, on the same day as the waste bin service.

Green gardening

Not only does our green resource collection service help the environment, it will also save you money. This service is cheaper than three or four trips to the Toowoomba Waste Management Centre each year. Council will mulch the materials collected and use them on public gardens and open space areas.

To ensure good quality mulch, only grass clippings, branches (not more than 15cm in diameter) and leaves should be placed in this bin.
