Bins for new homes

For new homes in a refuse collection area, contact council to obtain your bin(s).  In some locations within Toowoomba Regional Council, a new wheelie bin will not be issued unless the final inspection of the dwelling and plumbing/drainage has been approved by council.

Broken or stolen bins

Broken or stolen bins can be either repaired or replaced. Contact Council to report any maintenance requirements for your bins.

In Toowoomba waste collection service makes it "as easy as 1,2,3" for residents to separate general household waste (dark green lid), recyclables (yellow lid), green or garden waste (light green lid).

Council encourages residents to adopt the 3R's of waste minimisation - reduce, reuse and recycle to look after our environment.

Refuse collection is undertaken by a private contractor. If you have any difficulties with the service please contact the Waste Collection Service Hotline.

Recycling green waste is a money saving, environmentally friendly way of dealing with your green resources (grass clippings, branches and leaves).

Kerbside Greenwaste service is available to all residents in the Toowoomba City Service Centre area, ie. the former Toowoomba City Council area.  Due to contract constraints, the kerbside greenwaste service is not available to residents in TRC's other service centres.  This may change in the future.
