Waste disposal vouchers

Each year, council issues two free waste disposal vouchers to domestic ratepayers.   The vouchers for this financial year will commence delivery to all residential ratepayers on 6th February 2012.

Where are my vouchers?

Your two vouchers are found within the brochure that each ratepayer receives.  You can "push out" the perforated vouchers from the brochure and put them in your wallet.

 Where can I use my vouchers?

Vouchers can be used at any of the 13 waste facilities listed in the brochure.   All these facilities are staffed and charge gate fees for disposal of domestic waste.

The waste disposal vouchers are valid to 30th June 2012 and can be used for one load of domestic general waste or domestic greenwaste. The vouchers can not be used for commercial waste, disposal of tyres or the disposal of hazardous waste such as asbestos or other regulated waste.

In previous years the vouchers were distributed as part of the council quarterly newsletter.   This year, the vouchers are addressed to the property owner and sent via Australia Post to the mailing address for each property.   The address used for your rates notice is the address used for distribution of your vouchers.
