Energy wise

Save up to $325 on your power bill every year by booking a climate smart home service via the www.climateSmartHome.com (opens in new window).

For $50 an electrician will supply and install a little device, called a wireless power monitor, plus up to 15 power saving light globes and, where suitable, a water and energy efficient shower-head in your home. This program is provided by the Qld State Government with support from council.

Rebates & grants

Going green at home needn't cost you the earth with a range of rebates, grants and funding available to help you reduce your household carbon footprint. 

Community groups can apply for Council funding for environmentally friendly projects through the council grants program.

Toowoomba sustainable home

Over 21,000 people visited the Toowoomba sustainable home on Ramsey Street during the three years it was on display.
