Blue Morning Glory - Ipomoea indica
Morning Glory is a vigorous perennial vine that originates form tropical America. A serious bushland/garden weed left untreated can smother trees and shrubs. 
Morning glory is a climber that can grow 15 metre high, trailing over other plants, with the flower colour ranging from blue to purple and growing up to 8cm across with petals fused together. The stems intertwine causing a choking affect on other vegetation. The seeds are angular, black 4 mm long. Seeds appear to be scarce in Australia. Morning glory is a garden escape occurring in disturbed areas.
Manual pulling of small plant is affective though larger plant will have tubers and extensive root net work under ground.
