Free mulch is available to the public on the first Sunday of the month at the Toowoomba Waste Management Centre, Bedford Street.

It is available from 8am to 4pm. Trailers or ute loads only. Loads must be covered.

No id or ratepaying notification required.

The best type of compost system can be purpose-designed plastic containers or metal bins, because they reduce the potential for harbouring rodents.

Compost containers are available from the Toowoomba Region Environment Council shop at Laurel Bank Hall in Hill Street.
