What is Youth Connect?

Youth Connect - create, play, enjoy activities across the region

Stuck for things to do? Reckon there's nothing exciting happening in your town? Don't despair, there's a new monthly events program coming to towns around the Toowoomba region from November 2011.

Youth Connect is a fresh activity program devised by council's Youth Development team to give young people a range of interesting sessions and workshops to enjoy.

Bring your friends and meet new people at free activities to be held each month at venues to be notified across the Toowoomba region.

The program is designed as an interactive youth forum.

The catch phrase ― create, play, enjoy ― neatly summarises the program goals and ideals.

Get your community involved and join the program with events initially scheduled for Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights. 

Team members are planning a range of activities including:

• indoor/outdoor movie nights
• games nights
• live music nights
• discos
• art, craft, music workshops

November's opening round of activities includes free movie screenings with council's outdoor movie screen popping up in parks across the region.

Sessions are planned for Toowoomba, Millmerran, Cambooya, Westbrook, Oakey, Goombungee, Pittsworth, Highfields, Crows Nest, Cooyar, Cecil Plains, Clifton and Kingsthorpe.
