At the turn of a tap - - This is council's WaterWise teaching resource that has been developed to assist teachers to better inform students on local water issues. This resource includes integrated work units (p-3, yrs 4-5, yrs 6-8), curriculum based lessons, to match lessons,water related and useful references for all work units. A copy of the full resource is available online.
- Lists of library resources supplements - These units of work and have been supplemented with a list of library resources reviewed for their readability and relevance. These lists and work units can be viewed and downloaded from the Related documents area below. Check the Toowoomba Regional Library for availability of any particular resource through its online catalogue (opens in a new window)
- WaterWatcher - an online water use monitoring tool is available for students to input water meter readings and produce graphical recordings of their household's water use. WaterWatcher (opens in a new window) can be used in conjunction with work unit activities found in 'At the turn of a Tap'
- Follow the Flow - is a DVD produced by council giving an overview of council's water infrastructure, describing and explaining how our water is sourced and the water treatment processes used to provide a large urban community with a safe and secure water supply
All regional schools have been presented with a free hard copy of the published resources for their teachers' reference library. Individual teachers may purchase a copy from the council.
