Council's WaterWise team have developed, produced and released news updates, DVDs, brochures and factsheets, and identified useful website links.  The following resources for use in schools and the general community. New ones related to waste and recycling are currently being developed.

  • Taptalk, and Tiptalk provide an update to all schools about any new WaterWise and WasteWise developments, resources, related exhibitions, professional development and learning opportunities. (Find a copy of the current issues in the related documents below)
  • Follow the Flow (DVD),  - both a general version and a more technical version are now available.  All schools should have received a copy.  Check the school library.
  • Background education resources - Several resources have been produced by Council to provide backgound information about council's water infrastructure.   Refer to "Related documents" below for these brochures or contact us for a classroom set.
  • Water quality monitoring - Council no longer supports classes or hires equipment for these activities.  Landcare Discovery Centre, QMDC, may assist. Refer to the related article below.
  • Other resources including classroom activities, helpful websites and some interactive tools have been listed below for use by students and their teachers.
