Disaster Management Presentation Team visits Concordia Lutheran College

On Tuesday 15 June the Disaster Management Presentation Team (Jay Dobbin, Emergency Management Queensland (EMQ) and Norman Fry, Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) visited Concordia Lutheran College and gave two presentations to the Year 9 students. The Year 9 students had just completed their natural disasters studies. The presentation team was able to expand on these with additional information regarding what EMQ and TRC would do in times of preparation and response for local disasters in the Toowoomba Regional area. The Year 9 students displayed a number of disasters projects that they had recently completed. The standard and content of the projects was excellent.
