Wanganui to host Master Games in 2013

Masters sporting enthusiasts across the region are invited to travel across the Tasman in February 2013 to compete in the 2013 New Zealand Master Games being held in Wanganui. 

The games are a nine day event with more than 530 individual competitions in 64 different sports. There are different age policies depending on the individual event although most have a minimum starting age of 35.

Virtually all sports offer a social grade and organisers encourage people to have some fun and enter events outside their chosen sport.

Wanganui’s sports venues are top quality and 42 of the 48 venues are located within a 10 minute drive of the Games village.

The Master Games is a great opportunity to enjoy some great sportsmanship and to explore the beautiful scenery of our sister city. The people of Wanganui are keen to show their Sister City residents to some Wanganui hospitality and some sporting fun.
