Toowoomba city residents will receive new fridge magnets this month showing general waste, recycling and green waste collection service details for the next 12 months.

Toowoomba Regional Council and waste contractor J. J. Richards and Sons are distributing new fridge magnets for the 2010/2011 financial year to all residential properties in Toowoomba city.

The magnets are handy reminders of recycling collection weeks highlighted in yellow (the same colour as the lids on recycling bins) and green waste collection weeks highlighted in lime green (the same colour as the lids on green waste bins).

In Toowoomba, general waste bins are collected weekly and recycling and green waste bins are collected on alternate weeks.

Residents who have not received fridge magnets by the end of June can call council's Customer Service Centre on 131 TRC (131 872).
