Eligible individuals or community groups have until the end of the week (Friday, February 10) to apply for this round of Toowoomba Regional Council's community support grants.
The Community Grants Program provides funding or inkind support for not-for-profit groups involved in sport and recreation, arts and cultural pursuits, in community events or programs, or in the environmental area.
Through its funding program, council is expected to contribute some $2.5 million to the community this financial year.
Part funding of projects may be offered and grant applications are assessed by panels of council staff, a councillor and a community member.
A series of information workshops have already been held across the region but if you still need help in completing the application form, please call 131 872.
Most of council's community grants have two rounds of funding per year – one opening in January and one in July closing in February and August respectively, with notification in March and September.
