Council’s responses to draft planning scheme submissions available

Toowoomba Regional Council has finalised its review of the 713 submissions received during the draft planning scheme public consultation period, the details of which are available on council's website.

Council's response to each issue raised is also available.

Council has sent letters to those people and organisations that made submissions.

The draft planning scheme, including amendments made in response to submissions, is being reviewed by the State Government for consistency with State policy.

If people are interested in seeing the most up-to-date version of the draft planning scheme currently before the State Government, a copy on a CD can be purchased for $20 from council’s Toowoomba Customer Service Centre, 4 Little Street, Toowoomba.

Once the State Government has signed off on the draft planning scheme it will be adopted by council. It is anticipated this will occur in late January next year.
