Patrons are advised that services to Oakey Library will be disrupted while necessary repairs to the building take place during October.
Cultural, Heritage and Facilities Services portfolio leader Cr Ros Scotney said works would happen from Monday, October 3 until Sunday, October 23.
"These renovations will be scheduled to minimise disturbance to the public and still allow some access to library services," Cr Scotney said.
"The library will be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (October 3, 4 and 5) and open with limited services on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (October 6, 7 and 8).
Cr Scotney said this same pattern would occur, if necessary, for the following two weeks - closed October 10, 11, 12, limited opening October 13, 14, 15; closed October 17, 18, 19, limited opening October 21, 21, 22.
"Although, this timeframe may change depending on the progress of the job," she said.
"For some of the repairs, access will have to be made through a rear door, but we will have signs in place to direct patrons.
"We obviously want to get these renovations finished as quickly as possible and we know library users will appreciate the benefits of having this important work done."
