People should not be afraid to declare or display Christian beliefs in all aspects of life.
This was the opening and parting message Queensland Senator Barnaby Joyce delivered forcefully to almost 730 patrons at this morning's 20th Mayoral Prayer Breakfast at Rumours International.
Senator Joyce, the National Party Leader in the Senate, said people should not be embarrassed to express Christian beliefs or feel they held a minority view.
"This gathering clearly is an example of how Toowoomba is doing its bit to keep the Christian faith alive," Senator Joyce said.
"Faith allows us to forgive and welcome others and we need to ensure it is not diminished in the public sphere.
"People can work by example at the family level, in schools or across the district to ensure we re-invest in our faith.
